Figure 1 shows 5 year mean growth rates have been increasing at the measurement station on Mauna Loa, Hawaii. 1959-1962 is a four year mean.

El Nino years can elevate CO2 growth rates (1983-1987), La Nina years can lower CO2 growth rates (1988-1992).
