I did volunteer work this morning in the Prairie Garden at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. White Wild Indigo, Large-flowered Beardtongue, Blue Flag Iris and Ohio Spiderwort were in full bloom this morning.

A warm spell in late March brought Blue Birds here early. The first week of April had snow, daily highs in the upper 30s - mid 40s F with daily lows in the 20s - low 30s F.

The National Snow and Ice Data Center (NSIDC) office at Boulder, Colorado, which I visited last week, has analyzed Arctic sea ice age. Comparisons show that the area of older Arctic ice shrank from March 2007 to March 2008.
